Power Cables and Cable Integrity

The HubNet Colloquium on Power Cables and Cable Integrity took place on Wednesday 7th December 2016 at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. The aim was to bring together industry and academic practitioners to discuss current challenges related to HVDC, HVAC, and MV cables and cable accessories.

The programme includes presentations on appropriate test and monitoring techniques, and state-of-the-art modelling for diagnosis and lifetime prediction. Methods of life extension were also discussed. Key experts gave their perspectives, followed by a workshop on the current challenges. The outcomes of the colloquium will be written up as a HubNet position paper, which participants will be invited to co-author.
